Outreach Programs

What kinds of outreach programs are there?
Optometrists are the primary providers of eye care in the neighborhood health centers in the Bay State. The New England College of Optometry offers nearly 50 different clinical sites to its senior students for their clinical experience. These affiliated clinics include Veterans Administration hospitals, public health service hospitals, military bases and neighborhood health centers. Student clinicians treat these patients while under the instruction and supervision of an experienced doctor of optometry. Several sites, including the Dorchester House and the North End Community Health Center, are staffed by faculty members and students of The New England College of Optometry.
